Description
The company's group has long developed roof pantographs, and these products now operate on railways around the world. Pantographs are produced for different catenary systems and types of current according to national standards, including for multi-system rolling stock, with dynamics matched to the operating speed. The designs are aerodynamically shaped with reduced noise, and there are versions with increased reach and different contact strips. The pantographs work at very high and very low temperatures and maintain the required contact force on the wire at any speed.
The interaction with the catenary is modelled on a computer already at the tender stage. Electronics and proportional valves precisely tune the contact force, so the wire and carbon inserts wear less. Options include automatic lowering devices, electro-pneumatic dynamic contact force regulation units, communication with the train TCMS over Ethernet, web data exchange and configurable software.
Third rail current collectors are used where overhead suspension cannot or should not stand. The third rail has a large cross-section and carries high current densities. The collectors are set up for various operating speeds and heavy operating conditions. In this area the company has 100 years of experience and four production sites, and the installed base exceeds 75,000 current collectors in New York, Berlin, London, Wuxi and Saint Petersburg. For the US market Dynaglide current collectors are produced, and they are used by most transit agencies in the country.
The versions cover bottom, top and side current collection, and variants for monorails and people mover systems. The kit can include mechanical and pneumatic locks, fuse boxes, short-circuit devices for emergencies, manual levers and various shoes. Stinger systems supply voltage to the power and auxiliary circuits of cars in the depot service area where there is no third rail. From the stinger the traction and auxiliary circuits of the car are powered during inspection and maintenance, and the voltage supply is controlled from the depot panel.
For Ukrainian metros, third rail current collectors can be considered for metro cars, and pantographs for suburban EMUs and trams. The collection type, current type and contact force are selected for the specific network and rolling stock.

Questions and answers
Which types of third rail collection do the collectors support?
Bottom, top and side collection, as well as variants for monorails and people mover systems.
Are pantographs produced for multi-system trains?
Yes, pantographs are made for different catenary systems and types of current according to national standards, including for multi-system rolling stock.
How is the pantograph contact force regulated?
Electro-pneumatic units regulate the contact force dynamically, and the link to the train TCMS runs over Ethernet. Electronics and proportional valves hold the set force precisely.
