Description
The door system opens and closes the doors of passenger cars of electric multiple units and metros and is responsible for safe boarding of passengers. The operator is mounted above the opening and suits double-leaf and single-leaf doors. The manufacturer offers pneumatic and electric variants, as well as accompanying devices. These are conductor switches for opening and closing, switches for cars with single-driver operation, a closing force relaxation controller and a closing controller for interaction with platform doors.
The pneumatic operator with leaf synchronization is built on a pneumatic cylinder + belt scheme. The working air pressure is 490 kPa, the solenoid valves operate from 100 or 24 V DC, and the standard opening width is 1300 mm. Manual release is by an air cock, the closing force is 560 N and the mass is about 14 kg.
The electric operator is built on an electric cylinder with a ball screw and a belt. The control voltage is 100 V DC, the opening is 1300 mm, and manual release is pneumatic or by cable. The closing force of 560 N can be adjusted, and the mass is 23 kg including the controller. In 2026 the manufacturer supplied electric door operators for the Nankai GRAN Tenku train for the first time and signed an agreement with a partner on joint development of electric door systems.
The closing force relaxation controller is powered from 100 V DC, controls 6 or 8 doors per car and is installed under the floor or under a seat. It makes it easy to remove a trapped object. The control solenoid valves of the operators work from 100 or 24 V DC.
The retractable step is located under the door opening. When activated, the platform extends toward the station platform and bridges the gap between the car and the platform. The drive is a built-in double-acting pneumatic cylinder. The step keeps a safe distance from the platform so that carbody sway does not interfere with boarding, and an interlock circuit does not let the train depart with the step extended. The dimensions in the retracted position are 1106 × 768 × 313 mm, the stroke is 160 mm, the working width is 900 mm, the permissible load is 1960 N, the voltage is 100 V DC, the pressure is 490 kPa and the mass is about 110 kg.
