Description
The GT63 (BlueSpark Gateway) backup box from KSTAR is installed between the grid, the hybrid inverter and the house load. When the grid fails, the box transfers the house to inverter and battery power, and when the grid returns, it restores the circuit to its original state. The rated current is 63 A and the rated power is 36 kW, so the whole house can be backed up, not just individual lines from the distribution board. The grid to backup switchover takes less than 10 ms, and for most household loads the supply stays uninterrupted. The inverter and battery take over the load, while the GT63 separates the house from the grid and switches it to the backup line.
The connection is three-phase, 3L+N+PE, 380/400 V, 50/60 Hz. The grid input, the output to backed-up loads, the inverter connection and the generator port are all rated for 63 A and 36 kW. A separate generator port leaves the option of adding one more backup source to the scheme. All four connection groups, namely grid, backup load, inverter and generator, have the same ratings of 63 A and 36 kW, so there is no current weak point at the box boundary. The overvoltage category of the box is III.
The box has a built-in energy meter with a measurement accuracy of ±1 %. Dry contacts and an RS-485 interface are provided for smart load control. According to the datasheet, the communication part includes Wi-Fi / 4G, four RS-485 ports, two dry contacts and one DRM port. Through these inputs, heat pumps and electric vehicle chargers can be placed under the logic of the KSTAR system, so they get priority for green energy and do not overload the backup line.
The enclosure has an IP66 protection rating, contains no fan, and is cooled naturally by convection. The noise level does not exceed 35 dB, so the box can be installed next to living spaces, and given its protection rating, both indoors and outdoors. According to the catalog data, the standby self-consumption does not exceed 10 W.
Typical application: private houses and small commercial sites with a hybrid inverter and KSTAR BlueSpark series batteries, where the whole load needs to be backed up without a noticeable interruption of supply.
