Description
KSTAR BlueSpark E3.68–6KS-D22 is a single-phase all-in-one hybrid energy storage system for the home. It includes the hybrid inverters E3.68KS-D22, E5KS-D22 and E6KS-D22 with continuous AC power from 3.68 to 6 kW and the battery modules BP48100PF1A-G2 based on lithium iron phosphate cells. One module has a capacity of 5.12 kWh, with a usable capacity of 4.6 kWh. The system takes up to 4 of them.
The battery is low-voltage, which lowers risks during operation. AFCI, arc fault protection that reduces fire hazard, is installed as an option. The inverter is rated IP66 and the battery IP65, so the system can be installed outdoors. The battery round-trip efficiency exceeds 94 %, and the maximum PV efficiency is 97.2 %.
Installation needs no tools: the modules are stacked without external wiring, which saves space. The PV input permits a DC/AC ratio of up to 2. The system supports parallel configurations both when connected to the grid and in off-grid mode, that is, it performs the backup power function. The maximum continuous discharge current of one battery module is 80 A.
Control is carried out through the cloud around the clock, and remote firmware update (OTA) is available. On-site commissioning is done over Bluetooth. Energy can be managed in the modes self-consumption, peak shaving, time-of-use and battery priority. The system is compatible with SG Ready heat pumps, so energy can be directed to heating. The hybrid inverter combines the functions of a solar inverter and a battery inverter, so separate units are not needed. The batteries are stacked next to the inverter and connected to each other without external wiring. In backup mode, when the grid fails, the system switches to supply from PV and the battery. For houses with an SG Ready heat pump, surplus generation can be directed to heating.
The series complies with the standards IEC/EN 62109-1 and 62109-2, EN 50549-1, EN 50549-10, VDE-AR-N 4105, G98/G99, NC RfG and CEI-021. To select the power, take the daily consumption of the house, the PV power and the required backup. The final configuration is best agreed with a manager.
