Description
KSTAR Home Series HH is a single-phase all-in-one system for residential houses. The range consists of hybrid inverters HH3.6KS, HH6KS and HH10KS with a power of 3.6, 6 and 10 kW. The input and output are single-phase. The system combines solar generation, storage and backup power, so it supports selected loads when the grid disappears or is unstable.
On the panel side, the inverters accept up to 6, 9 and 18 kW of PV according to the model, at a voltage of up to 500 V DC. The storage is built from H-PACK-5.1 batteries on LFP cells, and each has a capacity of 5.12 kWh. The batteries are low-voltage, so they are easier to work with during installation. The inverter ingress protection rating is IP20 and the battery rating is IP21, so the system should be installed indoors.
The manufacturer places particular emphasis on protection against overheating and fire. The batteries are made of high-quality lithium cells, and their production is automated to maintain the quality level. The battery charges at a temperature of 0–50 °C and discharges at −10–50 °C. The datasheet separately specifies the storage temperature on condition of recharging once every 12 months. For houses in hot regions this is convenient, because the manufacturer designs the system for high temperatures and demanding operating conditions.
The KSTAR inverter and batteries were designed as a single whole. This simplifies installation and the coordination of the units. The system is monitored remotely through Wi-Fi and an app, so the owner sees panel output and battery status and changes settings from a phone. The system is intended for houses with an unstable grid, where a loss of voltage should not stop the refrigerator, lighting and communications.
KSTAR products are built to IEC 62109-1 and 62109-2, EN/IEC 62920:2017+A1:2021, EN 55011:2016+A2:2021, ISTA-2A, IEC 62116, IEC 61727 and IEC 60068. When choosing a model, compare the load power with the value of 3.6 / 6 / 10 kW and the panel power with the permitted 6 / 9 / 18 kW. Storage capacity is built up with batteries of 5.12 kWh according to the need for autonomous operation.
