Description
KSTAR BlueCore BIS60–260E is assembled from modules on LFP cells (LiFePO4) of 314 Ah. One module has a capacity of 20.09 kWh, and the system can be expanded from 60.27 to 261.17 kWh. The rated capacity values go in steps: 60.27, 80.36, 100.45, 120.54, 140.63, 160.72, 180.81, 200.9, 220.99, 241.08 and 261.17 kWh. Each value corresponds to its own model, from BIS60E to BIS260E.
The battery system works with the KAC series PCS. KAC50DP2 – KAC125DP2 are compatible. With a PCS of 80–125 kW the capacity is 80.36–261.17 kWh, and for a PCS of up to 50 kW it is 60.27–241.08 kWh. Together with a hybrid PCS this gives a commercial storage system with direct connection of panels.
The KSTAR system has an ingress protection rating of IP21 and is intended for indoor installation. Cooling is by fan, intelligent. Charging is permitted at a temperature of 0–50 °C and discharging at −20–50 °C. Modularity makes it possible to start with a smaller capacity and add modules as the load grows. Modular assembly is convenient for design, because the capacity is selected for the daily load profile and the PCS power for peak consumption.
On the PCS side, a direct PV input for 8 MPPT with panel oversizing of up to 2 times is available. Conversion efficiency reaches 98%, and energy management supports integration with EMS and VPP. The built-in STS switches the system between grid and off-grid mode in about 10 ms. Up to 20 units can be connected in parallel to the grid, and up to 10 in off-grid mode, which opens scaling to the MW level.
The KSTAR system is used for self-consumption of solar energy, peak shaving and peak load control, and also as a backup source at factories, in commercial buildings and at industrial sites. The capacity and the PCS power are selected for the consumption profile of the site. For each model there is a short installation guide, as well as a general user manual.
