10–30 AN/BN/CN epoxy indoor post insulators up to 38.5 kV
10–30 AN/BN/CN are cast epoxy post insulators for indoor MV switchgear for voltages up to 12–15, 25 and 38.5 kV. They support busbars and current-carrying parts in 6–35 kV switchgear, KSO cubicles and package substations.

Description
The range is divided into three groups by voltage. For 12–15 kV, the 10AN, 10BN, 10CN, 10CS and 12AN are produced, for 25 kV the 20AN, 20AS, 20BN, 20BS and 20CN, and for 38.5 kV the 30AN, 30BN and 30CN. The insulator electrically separates structural parts at different potentials and at the same time connects them mechanically. The post insulators are designed for busbar systems with significant dynamic forces from short-circuit currents.
The 10AN insulator is intended for indoor systems with a rated voltage up to 15 kV. The variants 10AN-1, 10AN-2 and 10AN-3 differ in the position and size of the metal inserts. The rated voltage is 7.5/12 kV, the power-frequency test voltage 20/28 kV, the lightning impulse 60/75 kV, and the frequency 50/60 Hz. Height 193 mm, mechanical load 8 kN, weight 0.6 kg.
10BN, 10CN and 10CS are used in systems up to 12 kV with the same test levels. For 10BN the manufacturer gives a creepage distance of 190 mm, bending force of 16 kN, weight 0.9 kg, insulation thermal class E and an operating temperature of −5 to +40 °C, order code 600 000 027. The 30AN, 30BN and 30CN insulators for systems up to 38.5 kV are tested with 80 kV power frequency and 180 kV impulse voltage.
The insulator body is cast from epoxy resin, on which its thermal, mechanical and electrical resistance depends. The screw inserts are made of brass, and the recommended tightening torques of the threads are given in the manufacturer's table. The design can be modified to customer requirements, and the company also makes other epoxy parts to order.
The post insulators have been tested in the accredited laboratory EGÚ HV Laboratory a. s. They comply with ČSN EN 60660, ČSN IEC 273, IEC 60660, IEC 273 and GOST 28739-90. Technical data sheets with dimensions and order codes are published for each type. The insulators are used by switchgear manufacturers for equipping new units and by maintenance services for repair and modernization of cubicles.
