Description
Sincroflux is a fast acting control valve with an electric actuator for regulating gas pressure and/or flow. Unlike pressure regulators that work on their own impulse, it is driven by an external signal from the automation system. The valve is therefore suitable for tasks with remote set point changes, flow limiting, flow distribution between several lines or maintaining flow on a schedule.
The valve is intended for pre-filtered non-corrosive gases. It is used in trunk gas transmission, in fuel gas conditioning units of power plants, in distribution networks and at heavily loaded sites: gas distribution stations, compressor and booster stations, underground storage, liquefaction and regasification plants, LNG terminals, heavy industry and reverse flow points.
The body is of the top entry type for a flanged connection. The balanced obturator reduces the actuator force, and the valve offers high accuracy and a wide control range. The design pressure PS/DP is up to 10.2 MPa (102 bar). Nominal sizes are DN 25, 50, 80, 100, 150, 200 and 250 (from 1″ to 10″). Connections are ANSI 150, 300 and 600 flanges per ASME B16.5 and PN 16 per EN 1092, with the face-to-face length per EN 334. The ambient and gas temperature is from −20 to +60 °C.
The body for classes 300 and 600 is made of ASTM A352 LCC cast steel, and for class 150 and PN 16/40 of ASTM A216 WCB steel. The actuator mounting flange is ASTM A350 LF2 steel, the stem is AISI 416, the obturator is ASTM A350 LF2 with a nickel plated sealing surface, and the seat is nitrile rubber vulcanized on a metal base.
The valve is designed to EN 334 and EN 1092 and certified to PED 2014/68/EU. Bubble-tight sealing is better than class VIII per ANSI/FCI 70-3. A DB/819 silencer and SB/82 and HB/97 slam-shut valves can be built into the body. Sincroflux is compatible with biomethane and is made in versions for hydrogen blends and 100 % hydrogen, and a hydrogen compatibility declaration has been issued for it.
