Description
FC / FI / FA / TF floating ball valves are used in small sizes: impulse, drain, blowdown and instrument lines, sampling points and equipment piping. The ball is not fixed on trunnions and under pressure it is pressed against the downstream seat, which simplifies the design for small bores. All models are designed to API 6D, API 608, ISO 17292 and ASME B16.34; they have a blowout-proof stem, an antistatic device and a fire-safe design, with full or reduced bore.
The FC model has a side entry and a forged two- or three-piece bolted body, sizes from 1/2 to 6 inch, ASME classes 150–2500, temperatures −196…+400 °C, face-to-face length to ASME B16.10; operation by lever or gearbox, and on request an actuator with an ISO 5211 flange. On the same base the FC Twin double valve is produced, with two floating balls in one body for double block and bleed schemes, in cryogenic and high-temperature versions. The FI model has three parts with a swing-out middle section that can be removed from the line for maintenance without dismantling the ends. Sizes 1/2–2 inch, ASME classes 150–2500, 3000 and 6000 psi, −46…+200 °C. The FA model is made from bar stock, with a threaded two-piece body, sizes 1/4–4 inch, ASME classes 150–600, 800, 3000 and 6000 psi, −46…+200 °C, with NPT threaded ends or socket weld ends. According to the catalog the body is zinc plated. The TF model has a top entry and a single bolted cover, which allows full in-line maintenance of the valve and welding it into the pipeline. Sizes 1/2–2 inch (up to 6 inch on request), ASME classes 150–2500, −196…+400 °C.
Connections are flanged to ASME B16.5, socket weld (ASME B16.11), butt weld (ASME B16.25) and threaded. The body is made of carbon steel A105, low-temperature A350 LF2, stainless F316, duplex F51, super duplex F53/F55, 6Mo F44, Inconel 625, Incoloy 825 and Monel. Sealing materials are FKM, HNBR, FFKM, PTFE and graphite. Soft seats are standard, metal seats on request. Options include extended stem and bonnet, weld pup pieces and nipples, auxiliary connections, compact design, and compliance with NACE MR0175/MR0103, PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU.
