Description
DRV is a nozzle (axial) check valve, a maintenance-free low-noise valve for preventing reverse flow of the medium. It was developed for the gas industry and is made in various versions and face-to-face lengths. Typical fields of application are compressor stations of trunk gas pipelines and underground gas storage facilities, where the check valve protects the compressors from reverse flow during shutdown, as well as process streams in oil refineries and other industrial facilities. Nominal sizes and pressure classes are selected for the duty of the particular pipeline.
The design with a streamlined body and an axial disc gives good hydraulic behaviour and low pressure losses, which reduces energy costs for compression. The valve has a wide operating flow range (Qmin/Qmax), is not sensitive to foreign particles in the flow, and works quietly and without shock on closing. It can be installed in both horizontal and vertical position. The PMSS sealing system combines primary metal and secondary soft sealing, and the sealing zone is made with a weld overlay of wear-resistant material. No maintenance is required, and fire resistance has been verified according to ISO 10497 / API 607.
By connection there are versions with weld-end nipples, with RF or RTJ flanges, or wafer (clamped). The body is made of TStE355, A350 LF2, A694-F60 or TStE420, the disc of stainless steels 1.4021 or 1.4313, the spring of 1.4310. Materials can be selected according to the customer's specification. The valve is made in various face-to-face lengths, so it is selected for the installation space of the particular pipeline. The version with weld-end nipples gives a permanent connection, flanged and wafer ones are more convenient for removal. Low pressure losses are important at compressor stations, where every pressure loss means additional work for the compressors.
The valve is manufactured according to the PED directive with CE marking (module G, category IV), to the standards DIN 30690, DIN 3230-5, API 6D and customer requirements. Supply is with inspection certificates 3.1 or 3.2 or a declaration of conformity. The range of sizes and pressure classes is not given in the available materials, it is agreed with the manufacturer.
