Description
The hardware platform is built on a T3Pro/A40I processor with a quad-core heterogeneous AMP system. Functions that the ARM processor does not perform, and some of the special algorithms, are implemented on an FPGA. The internal high-speed bus on M-LVDS differential signals runs in multi-master mode without data loss and serves up to 8 modules. One enclosure and one backplane suit both digital and conventional devices, and functions are assembled from standard modules, which simplifies production and maintenance. The panel is solid, the enclosure is fully closed, and the power and low-current circuits are separated.
NSA-3631 provides main and backup protection of lines of 220 kV and above, and NSA-3643 protects lines of 110 kV and above. The fast main protection consists of phase-segregated differential protection and zero-sequence differential protection with time-domain capacitive current compensation. The backup protection includes three-zone distance protection against phase-to-phase and single-phase faults and stepped overcurrent protection. The differential protection trips the line in less than 25 ms at four times the setting, channel delay excluded, the first distance zone in less than 30 ms, and the fault-component element operates in 3–10 ms in the near zone. NSA-3643 complies with Q/GDW10766-2015, works with electronic and conventional transformers and supports GOOSE.
The NSA-3175 busbar protection for schemes of 220 kV and below, including double busbar with sectionalising and single sectionalised busbar, is based on the differential principle with instantaneous-value restraint and repeated validation of samples. The total operating time is less than 20 ms, and a breaker failure protection is included. The NSA-3178 transformer protection for two- and three-winding transformers of 220 kV and below supports dual sets of main and backup protection and five-side differential protection with an operating time of less than 30 ms. NSA-3100-GCN combines protection, measurement and control of bays of 35 kV and below.
The device has a 320 × 240 dot matrix display, and the interface switches between Chinese and English. The memory stores the 128 latest events and 64 fault waveform records, and the built-in recorder is compatible with the COMTRADE format.
