Reflux 819 — pilot-operated gas pressure regulator, inlet up to 100 bar
Reflux 819 is a pilot-operated gas pressure regulator for high-pressure transmission systems and medium-pressure natural gas distribution networks. Design pressure up to 102 bar, operating inlet from 0.8 to 100 bar, outlet from 0.3 to 74 bar. It is installed at GDS, in pressure reduction stations, at compressor stations and in fuel gas conditioning units.

Description
Reflux 819 works at gas distribution stations, in pressure reduction stations at the inlet of city networks, at compressor stations, and in fuel gas conditioning units of power plants and large industrial consumers. The regulator works with pre-filtered non-corrosive gases.
The operating principle is the classic one for pilot-operated regulators. The main valve with a diaphragm actuator is controlled by a separate pilot, which compares the downstream pressure with the set value and generates the control pressure. For this reason the regulator keeps high accuracy at high flow rates and over a wide range of inlet pressure. Under EN 334 this is the normally closed (Fail Close) version with a 200/A series pilot or the normally open (Fail Open) version with a 210/A series pilot. The Reflux 819/FO version also exists.
The minimum working differential is 0.5 bar. Accuracy class AC is up to 1, and lock-up pressure class SG is up to 2.5. Nominal sizes are from 1″ to 12″ (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 inches). Connections are flanged: classes 150, 300 and 600 with RF or RTJ sealing face per ASME B16.5, and PN 16 per ISO 7005. Design temperature is from −20 to +60 °C, other ranges on request.
The configuration may include a built-in PM819 monitor (a standby regulator that takes over if the main one fails), a safety shut-off valve and a noise silencer. The variants can be combined, and the full list is given in the technical manual. The manufacturer marks the regulator as Hydrogen Ready for natural gas and hydrogen blends, and a separate Reflux 819 H modification with a compatibility declaration is available for 100 % hydrogen. For replacing regulators at high-pressure GDS and pressure reduction stations, Reflux 819 is one of the basic models in the manufacturer's range.
