Dival 160 AP — direct-acting gas pressure regulator, inlet up to 85 bar, outlet up to 4.5 bar

Dival 160 AP direct-acting gas pressure regulator with inlet pressure up to 85 bar and outlet pressure up to 4.5 bar. In a single stage it reduces high pressure to medium pressure, working without a pilot or external power. Installed on branches of high-pressure pipelines, in cabinet pressure reduction stations and in own-needs units of GDS.

Description

Dival 160 AP is a direct-acting gas pressure regulator that reduces high pressure to medium pressure in a single stage. Regulation is performed by a diaphragm balanced by an adjustable spring. A change in downstream pressure displaces the diaphragm and the obturator, so the outlet pressure stays at the set level without a pilot or external power. The regulator is intended for pre-cleaned gases.

Design pressure is 85 bar. Inlet pressure bpu is in the range from 1.4 to 85 bar, and outlet pressure Wd is from 0.85 to 4.5 bar. Nominal size is 1″, with flanged connections of classes 300 and 600 with RF or RTJ sealing face per ASME B16.5. Accuracy class AC is up to 5, and lock-up pressure class SG is up to 10 depending on operating conditions. Design temperature is from −20 to +60 °C.

Under EN 334 the regulator is classified as normally open (Fail Open), so in a reduction scheme it is usually supplemented with a safety shut-off valve. The manufacturer offers a built-in SSV as a configuration option. The regulator is marked as Hydrogen Ready for natural gas and hydrogen blends.

It is particularly suitable for high-pressure transmission systems and medium-pressure natural gas distribution networks. Typical installation points are small pressure reduction stations on branches from high-pressure pipelines, cabinet pressure reduction stations of industrial and commercial consumers, supply to boiler houses and low-power gas engine and gas turbine plants, and own-needs units of GDS and compressor stations. Compactness and the absence of a pilot system simplify maintenance and reduce the number of impulse lines.

Documentation for the regulator (leaflet, technical brochure, poster and operating manual) is available in several European languages, and the manual is also available in Polish.
