Description
The group combines original gear parts of the intermediate stage (IMS, intermediate shaft) of the PEAB 4435 gearbox. According to the manufacturer's service application guide, this gearbox is installed on Vestas V80 and V90 wind turbines of 2 000 kW. The V80/V90 2 MW platform is also listed in the overview of Vestas turbine coverage. The parts are supplied to replace worn or damaged meshing elements during gearbox repair in a workshop or, where technically possible, directly in the nacelle.
The group includes cylindrical gears with the designations RP 460,0/3,88, RP 460,0/4,19, RP 460,0/4,36, RP 460,0/4,63, RP 460,0/4,73 and RP 460,0/5,05, pinion shafts RP 705,0/4,32 and RP 705,0/4,33 in version LK1, a separate pinion shaft PEAB 4435.4/.6 for the gearbox variant with a gear ratio of i = 100.54, and a parallel key 56 × 32 × 154.5 mm of 42CrMoS4 steel for fitting the gear on the intermediate shaft. Different gear pairs correspond to different gearbox versions. In the spare parts catalog the sets are classified by total gear ratio, namely 92.54, 100.54, 104, 110.757, 110.88, 112.9 and 120.82. Therefore selection is made strictly by the serial number and the nameplate gear ratio of the particular gearbox.
All gear parts are made of steel 1.6587 (18CrNiMo7-6), a case-hardened chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel standard for heavily loaded gears. The manufacturer stresses that it optimizes the tooth geometry at the micron level, and that parts not made to the original specification may wear significantly faster. Original gears extend the life of the drivetrain. The manufacturer states an installed fleet of its own wind turbine gearboxes of more than 250 GW and many years of service experience with many makes.
Applications include repair and refurbishment of gearboxes of onshore Vestas wind turbines of the 2 MW class, building an emergency stock for wind farms, and the work of service organizations. For each item the manufacturer's catalog number is given, by which the order is placed, for example 1286420 for the RP 460,0/4,63 gear.
