Description
The item contains original bearing support kits (Bearing + Accessories) for the high speed (HSS) and intermediate (IMS) shafts of the PEAB 4435 gearbox. According to the manufacturer's guide, this gearbox is installed on Vestas V80 and V90 wind turbines of 2 000 kW. Bearing supports of the high speed part are a typical failure location of wind turbine gearboxes, so replacing them with kits assembled for the specific gearbox version is the main type of repair, often done without removing the gearbox from the nacelle.
The kits are divided by place of installation. For the high speed shaft there are HSS NRE, the support on the generator side (in the catalog classification HSS GS), for version .0 and separately for versions .1–.6, and HSS RE, the support on the rotor side (HSS RS), for versions .0/.1 and for .2–.6. The sections HSS NRE, HSS RE, IMS NRE and IMS RE contain 14, 8, 11 and 14 items respectively. Ordering a kit instead of separate parts eliminates errors in selecting the fitting rings and preserves the original specification.
The manufacturer states that available upgrades are taken into account in delivery. Selection is made by the serial number of the gearbox and its version (suffix .0–.6), and the order is placed by the manufacturer's catalog number, for example A5E36180851 for the HSS NRE kit of versions .1–.6.
