Description
The meters are approved for custody transfer. They are used in high-pressure transmission systems, at power plants, in heavy industry and in medium-pressure and low-pressure natural gas distribution networks, including gas distribution stations, large-consumer metering points, compressor stations, underground gas storage, liquefaction and regasification plants, and district stations. The measured medium is pre-filtered non-corrosive gas.
The operating principle is based on the rotation of a turbine wheel under the action of the gas flow. Before the rotor, the flow passes through a multi-stage flow straightener built into the body, which removes swirl and turbulence. A precision-machined rotor with helical blades is mounted on a shaft with low-friction stainless steel bearings, so the rotational speed is proportional to the gas velocity. All sizes have a removable measuring cartridge. Replacing it changes the flow range, and maintenance is carried out without removing the body from the pipeline.
The range covers sizes from G40 to G4000. Aluminum bodies are made up to 8″ for 20 bar, steel ones up to 12″ for 100 bar. Nominal sizes are DN 50–200 for aluminum and DN 50–300 for carbon steel. Connections are ANSI 150/300/600 flanges per ASME B16.5 or PN 16–PN 100 per EN 1092-1.
The error is ±2 % in the Qmin–Qt range and ±1 % from Qt to Qmax (Qt per EN 12261), the measuring range is up to 1:20, and repeatability is better than 0.1 %. The ambient temperature is from −40 to +65 °C and the gas temperature from −25 to +55 °C. The counter is 8-digit, with two low-frequency pulse outputs and a tamper monitoring output. An optical encoder and high-frequency sensors for volume correctors are installed as options.
Ingress protection is IP67, explosion protection is ATEX II 2 G Ex h IIB T6 Gb. The body is made of hard-anodized aluminum alloy or carbon steel, the rotor of aluminum alloy, the gears of engineering polymer, and the counter housing of UV-resistant polycarbonate. The meter complies with EN 12261 and is certified to MID 2014/32/EU, PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU. A version for hydrogen, the iM-TM H, is available.

Questions and answers
What sizes and flow range does the iM-TM have?
The range runs from G40 to G4000 with a flow rate from 8 to 6500 m³/h, and a measuring range of up to 1:20.
What pressure are the aluminum and steel bodies designed for?
Steel bodies up to 12″ are designed for 100 bar (10 MPa), aluminum ones up to 8″ for 20 bar. Aluminum is made in DN 50–200, carbon steel in DN 50–300.
Can the flow range be changed without removing the body from the pipe?
Yes, all sizes have a removable measuring cartridge. Replacing it changes the flow range, and the body stays in the pipeline.
