IM-RM rotary gas meter for custody transfer, up to 1000 m³/h, up to 25 bar
IM-RM rotary gas meters are used for custody transfer at gas transmission and gas distribution companies. Flow rate from 0.5 to 1000 m³/h, design pressure up to 2.5 MPa (25 bar), nominal sizes from DN 40 to DN 150. They measure filtered dry non-corrosive gases, including special gases.

Description
The meters are approved for custody transfer and are used by gas transmission and gas distribution companies. They are installed in gas distribution systems, at compressor stations and at end consumers, for example at chemical and processing plants, power plants, gas engine installations, in medium and small industry, at commercial consumers, at gas distribution stations and district stations, and also at biomethane production plants. Rotary meters measure the flow of various filtered dry non-corrosive gases, including special gases.
The operating principle is positive displacement. Two profiled rotors turn in the measuring chamber and carry a known volume of gas with each revolution, so the meter keeps its accuracy over a very wide flow range. The error is ±2 % in the range from Qmin to Qt and ±1 % from Qt to Qmax (Qt per EN 12480). The measuring range reaches 1:250 and repeatability is better than 0.1 %. The ambient and gas temperature is from −25 to +55 °C. Among the features are high overload capacity, a selected rotor profile and low pressure loss.
Connections are ANSI 150 flanges per ASME B16.5 or PN 16/25 per EN 1092-1. The body is made of hard-anodized aluminum alloy or ductile iron, the rotors of aluminum alloy, and the shaft and bearings of stainless steel. The counter housing of UV-resistant polycarbonate is suitable for outdoor installation. Ingress protection is IP67, explosion protection is ATEX II 2 G Ex h IIB T6 Gb.
The counter is 8-digit, with two low-frequency pulse outputs (normally open reed contacts) and a tamper protection output (normally closed reed contact). An optical encoder, high-frequency sensors for volume correctors and a bypass valve in the Twin versions are installed as options. Some sizes are made in the HTR version per EN 12480, Annex C. The meter complies with EN 12480 and OIML R137-1&2:2012 and is certified to MID 2014/32/EU, PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU. A version for hydrogen, the IM-RM H, is available, and a hydrogen compatibility declaration has been issued for the standard meter.
