Description
A solid insulator is up to 2300 mm long (245 kV) with a body diameter of up to 300 mm; above 245 kV, composite columns are assembled. Specific creepage distance reaches 55 mm/kV, and versions with increased and extra-high creepage distance are available. For ANSI TR versions the BIL is 95–2050 kV. The shape is conical per IEC or cylindrical per ANSI, with fittings to IEC 60273, DIN VDE 0674-20 and ANSI C29.9. C130 / C130 HS porcelain, brown RAL 8016 or gray ANSI 70 glaze, semiconducting RG glaze optional.
