Description
Anchors secure guys and foundations during the construction and repair of network infrastructure. They are manufactured at a facility in Trenton, Tennessee, certified to ISO 9001:2015, using robotic welding, CNC machining and steel upsetting.
Power Shaft — standard screw anchors made of a lead section, extensions and a guy head. The shaft size and the configuration of the screw blades (8, 10, 12, 14″) are selected for the required pull-out load and the soil. Such anchors withstand up to 150 000 lb and are installed with a hydraulic torque driver mounted on a truck. Power Hub has a threaded socket for the anchor rod, rated for loads up to 36 000 lb depending on the soil, and is installed to a depth of up to 14 ft. Square hubs 1⅜ and 1½″, Turbo Drive hubs 2¼ and 2½″, rods, extensions, couplings and eye nuts are available.
Manta Ray — driven plate anchors approved by RUS and used by network utilities around the world. The anchor is driven with a demolition hammer without drilling or excavation, it suits any soil, including caliche, broken rock, moraine and permafrost, and enlarged models are available for swamps. The equipment fits in the body of a pickup truck or connects to the hydraulic system of a line truck, and each anchor is load-tested during installation. Models MR-1, MR-2 and MR-SR are rated for 23 000 or 36 000 lb, and MR-3 for 16 000 lb; they are compatible with Power Hub rods. Disc anchors with anti-corrosion-coated rods and a dielectric washer are placed in drilled boreholes in highly corrosive, acidic and alkaline soils, and the discs are 16–24″ in size.
Cross, expansion (bust) and rock anchors, No-Wrench anchors, forged-eye rods, guy equalising clamps, Pole Key wrenches, luminaire foundations and installation tools are also produced. Excalibur piles are displacement and grouted (cemented) piles of large diameter for substations, overhead lines, data centres and industrial facilities. Installation torque is from 32 000 to more than 200 000 ft·lb, steel grades 80 and 110 ksi, and axial bearing capacity from 180 to more than 1200 kips. Threaded couplings speed up installation, and installation is low-noise. 8″ piles are also available for overhead lines.
