Composite polymer insulators for overhead lines, distribution networks and substations, on which conductors are suspended and fixed. The range includes suspension and strain insulators 15–132 kV at 40, 70 and 120 kN, pin support insulators for 6–36 kV and bird-protective insulators for MV poles up to 36 kV. The insulator has an ECR fibreglass rod on epoxy resin and a silicone housing without EPDM.

Description
The standard housing colour is sky grey S1502G to UNE 48103 (RAL 7035), which creates no visual impact on the landscape. Insulators are supplied in blue RAL 5012 on request. Weight is 40 % lower than for equivalent porcelain or glass insulators, and the new products are fully interchangeable with earlier models. The management system is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 by AENOR and IQNET, and the products are approved by leading energy companies around the world.
Suspension and strain insulators for strings are made for 15–132 kV, in the tables up to 145/154 kV, with a specified mechanical load of 40, 70 and 120 kN. Any of the forged hot-dip galvanized fittings from table 1 of the catalogue can be fitted at either end, and size 11 fittings with a breaking load of 40 kN are available on request. The insulator CS40/CS70…15P for 15/17.5 kV has a creepage distance of 680 mm and electrical characteristics of 95/38 kV. CS70…30 for 30/36 kV has a creepage of 900 mm and 230/110 kV, CS70…45P for 45/52 kV has 1745 mm, CS70…66P for 66/72 kV has 2450 mm. For 110/123 kV there is CS120…110P with a creepage of 3520 mm and 450/320 kV, and the upper limit is CS120…132P for 132/154 kV.
Versions with the letter P at the end of the designation have large-diameter sheds and a long protected creepage distance. They are fitted in places with very heavy pollution, degree IV to IEC 60815. The type, mechanical load, pollution degree, voltage, and year and month of manufacture are stamped on each fitting.
Pin support insulators for 6–36 kV and 6–8 kN have high bending strength and a long creepage distance, pollution degree III to IEC 60815. For example, ARPI 08 CRP20 for 20–24 kV has a creepage of 635 mm, ARPI 06 CRP30 for 30–36 kV has 930 mm. Bird-protective insulators for rigid fixing of conductors on MV poles up to 36 kV solve the problem of birds dying from electric shock. The model CS70YB30AV is approved by Iberdrola, CS70AB30AV is approved by Endesa. The base of such an insulator is a hot-dip galvanized fitting with an M-20 pin 120 mm long, with stainless steel nuts and washers. The fitting on the head holds the conductor in a vertical, horizontal or inclined position by means of spiral ties, and its edges are rounded to prevent contact with the conductor and partial discharges.
The manufacturer's laboratories test the insulators to IEC 61109 (UNE-EN 61109). The programme covers design tests of the interfaces, load-time and rod material tests, type tests for tension over time and electrical tests, as well as torsion and breaking load. Together with the insulators, GA strain clamps, GS suspension clamps and line fittings are supplied.
