Description
Pole line hardware is one of the oldest product lines of the manufacturer, and in this field it has extensive in-house production experience. Group A–I covers steel crossarms and braces, pole bands, including link-type bands, and bolts (machine, double-sided, with oval eye, coil and others). Brackets for mounting equipment and transformers, on the pole top, for insulators and equipment, for the neutral, for the lightning conductor, for anchor assemblies, and also trunnions are included here.
Further in the group are clamps for suspended cable and messenger wire, earthing and equalising clamps, eyes and loops, eye nuts, gains (combs) for crossarms and protective guards. For guys, hooks, plates with eyes, tees and combined attachment assemblies are supplied. Separately there are suspensions, hooks and insulators.
The J–Z group contains lag screws, links, brackets and luminaire arms for outdoor lighting, nails and nuts. Pins are supplied for crossarms, in reinforced, angled and adapter forms. There are base plates and earthing plates for the pole base, steps, including for hollow poles, and racks for low-voltage wires and underground cables. The list is completed by rods and earthing rods, staples, sidewalk guys, staple clamps, clamps, spacers, pins for line support insulators, thimbles, washers (square steel, cast flat and convex) and wire holders.
Cast parts are made in the company's own foundry from malleable cast iron, with castings weighing 2–50 pounds, and mechanical and heat treatment is carried out in the same place. Steel parts are marked on the drawings as hot-dip galvanised, including to ASTM A153. The material and coating of each part are specified separately. Dimensions, materials and loads are given in the catalogue tables for each item, and drawings with dimensions in inches are attached to some part numbers. Selection is made by drawing or catalogue number, so the customer receives exactly the part specified in the pole design.
Part of the range is produced under the Buy America and BABA (Build America, Buy America) programmes for projects with federal funding in the United States. The item covers all the small metal parts needed for the construction and reconstruction of overhead lines, from a bolt and washer to a crossarm and a guy attachment assembly.
