Description
Hardware for high-voltage lines is supplied both as separate items and as complete string assemblies. The components that hold the conductors determine the long-term stability of the line. Over a service life of more than 50 years, all parts must be selected and work together as a single system.
Catalogue assemblies match common suspension, tension and V-string schemes. On request the manufacturer modifies them or develops assemblies to the customer's specification. Assemblies are supplied without insulators and conductor hardware, but can be equipped with them. The customer receives a verified assembly and a working kit, detailed drawings of each assembly, help with choosing components, simultaneous supply of all parts, reduced drawing approval time, marked packaging for identification and a detailed packing list. All of this rests on the manufacturer's 50-year experience in designing and making line hardware.
Clevis hardware comprises 24 product lines: ball hooks, chain links, clevis eyes, eyes, sockets, balls, Y-clevises, extensions, shackles and turnbuckles, in standard and hot-line versions for ANSI 52-3/5, 52-8/11 and IEC 24 mm insulators. Yokes are anchor, intermediate triangular, for V-strings and for 3-conductor jumpers.
Tension clamps with side opening include ASO, ASOS with stirrup, HCD, HCDS and HDSO, as well as straight aluminium, cast iron, hinged, trunnion and quadrant types. Suspension clamps are angle, no-corona, standard, trunnion and for vertical bundles. GripSafe has aluminium clamping parts and rubber inserts that compensate thermal expansion and damp aeolian vibration. It works up to 250 °C, has a breaking load of 30 000 lb and fits conductors of 0.609–2.001″. CF and CFA no-corona clamps are rated for 25 000 lb and for angles of 15° and 30°, and ACFS for 20–50 thousand lb and conductors up to 2.8″.
Clamp bodies are made of aluminium alloy, the fittings of malleable iron and hot-dip galvanised steel, and the cotter pins of stainless steel. Grading rings are also offered. The composition of an assembly is selected based on the string scheme, the insulator class and the conductor range.

Clevis hardware is designed for ANSI 52-3/5, 52-8/11 and IEC 24 mm insulators. The range comprises 24 product lines in standard and hot-line versions.
Are string assemblies supplied with insulators?
The assemblies are supplied without insulators and conductor hardware, but can be equipped with them. On request they are modified or developed to the customer's specification.
