Glass insulators for 5–69 kV distribution networks (pin-type VHT20T, VHT22T, RP5 and cap-and-pin)
Toughened glass insulators for 5–69 kV distribution networks: pin-type VHT20T, VHT22T, RP5 and cap-and-pin. Pin-type insulators are fitted to bare conductors with a cross-section of 22–228 mm² and to insulated conductors, cap-and-pin insulators are assembled into suspension and tension strings of MV overhead lines.

Description
Pin-type insulators have a rigid design. Cap-and-pin insulators are made for 40 kN (IEC 11) and for 70–120 kN (IEC 16), in standard and fog profiles. The range covers overhead networks from LV to MV, as well as railway catenary. For LV the company also makes annealed glass insulators A22 and VHC64.

Questions and answers
What voltage are the insulators for distribution networks rated for?
For 5–69 kV networks. For LV there are separate annealed glass insulators A22 and VHC64.
Which conductor cross-sections suit the pin-type insulators VHT20T, VHT22T and RP5?
Bare conductors with a cross-section of 22–228 mm², as well as insulated conductors.
What mechanical load do the cap-and-pin insulators withstand?
Insulators are made for 40 kN (IEC 11) and for 70–120 kN (IEC 16), in standard and fog profiles.
