CUSHION-GRIP and Hydro-Québec spacer dampers for split overhead line phases of 2, 3, 4 and 6 conductors. They fix the spacing between the conductors of a phase and damp wind vibration, so separate vibration dampers are not needed.

Description
The spacers are tested to IEC 61854 and to utility requirements. CUSHION-GRIP is designed for phases of 3, 4 and 6 conductors, type B complies with IEC 61854, and type C is made to National Grid requirements. The Hydro-Québec model for phases of 2, 3 and 4 conductors works in areas with heavy icing and wind, and a high-temperature version up to 230 °C is available on request. Damping is provided by elastomer elements working in compression. The conductor is fixed with a clamp with an elastomer and a quarter-turn retainer, or with helical armor.
