Armor Rods and Line Guard helical rods for overhead line conductors
Armor Rods helical protective rods are placed at the wire suspension points, and short Line Guard rods are used for repair. The rods restore mechanical strength and conductivity of damaged aluminum conductors, with heat resistance of 125 °C for ACSR repairs and 250 °C for ACSS.

Description
Inside suspension clamps the rods protect the conductor against bending, crushing, abrasion and arcing. They suit ACSR, AAAC, AAC, AWAC, ACAR, ACSS/AW, ACSS/TW, aluminum-clad steel wires and Copperweld. The 250 °C rating applies to ACSS in high-temperature clamps. Single and double versions are available. For EHV, rods with PARROT-BILL terminations are supplied, which lower corona and RIV.
