10–36 ANO epoxy outdoor post insulators up to 38.5 kV
10–36 ANO are post insulators of cast epoxy resin for outdoor switchgear and outdoor MV installations for voltages up to 15, 25 and 38.5 kV. They support busbars and apparatus in 6–35 kV outdoor switchgear, on pole-mounted substations and at sectionalizing points of overhead lines.

Description
The series is divided into three groups, and the first number in the designation indicates the voltage class. 10 ANO-5 works in outdoor systems with a rated voltage up to 15 kV. For voltages up to 25 kV, the 20 ANO-1, 20 ANO-2, 20 ANO-3, 20 ANO-5 and 25 ANO-01/02 are produced. The group up to 38.5 kV comprises 30 ANO-1, 30 ANO-2, 30 ANO-3, 30 ANO-5 and 36 ANO-01/01. The versions within each group differ in the design of the inserts and in mounting dimensions.
The 10 ANO-5 insulator has a highest operating voltage of 12 kV, a power-frequency test voltage of 28 kV and an impulse test voltage of 75 kV. On the manufacturer's page, for it a creepage distance of 467 mm, bending force of 5 kN, weight 2.1 kg and order code 600 000 497 are given. The creepage distance is checked together with the voltage class, since it determines suitability for a polluted atmosphere.
The insulators of the 30 ANO group are rated for 38.5 kV, and they are tested with 80 kV power frequency and 180 kV lightning impulse voltage. For example, 30 ANO-1 has a height of 824 mm and a weight of 3.3 kg. Technical data sheets and order codes are published for all types, so the insulator is selected by voltage class, height and connection dimensions of the inserts. The height is agreed with the insulation clearances of the specific switchgear.
The resin for the ANO series is designed for operation in the open air. Epoxy post insulators are installed instead of porcelain ones where low weight, strength and impact resistance matter. The company has its own certified test laboratory and also makes epoxy parts to customers' drawings.
ANO insulators are used for the support insulation of busbars and apparatus in 6–35 kV outdoor switchgear, on mast and pole substations, at sectionalizing and metering points on overhead lines, and in outdoor installations of renewable energy facilities, including solar and wind power plants. The insulators are fastened to metal structures through the inserts, whose dimensions are given in the technical data sheets of each type.
