Description
The KSG and G lines consist of three-phase grid-tied string inverters from 25 to 350 kW. They include KSG-25/30/40KT-M1, G30–50KT7, G50/60/80KT, G75KTL for a 220 V grid, G125KT7 and G350KTH/KTHC, as well as KSG-120CL-M0 and KSG-250UH. The first models are installed on the roofs of commercial and industrial buildings, the more powerful ones on ground-mounted solar plants.
The maximum DC voltage is 1100 V for most models, 800 V for the G75KTL, and the G350KTH is rated for 1500 V, which is needed for large plants with long strings. The number of MPPTs depends on the model and ranges from 3 to 16. In the G50–80KT series, four independent MPPT channels operate in the range 200–1000 V, with up to 45 A per input. This suits arrays with different orientations and partial shading.
Maximum efficiency is 98.5–98.8 %, and 99 % for the G350KTH. Weight rises with power, from 48.7 kg for the G50KT to 125 kg for the G350KTH, so a wall or frame for the larger models needs reinforced mounting. The enclosure has IP66 protection.
The inverters supply and absorb reactive power within a range from 0.8 inductive to 0.8 capacitive power factor. A night SVG function, which compensates reactive power when the plant is not generating, is available as an option. The G50–80KT has a Type II SPD on DC and AC and residual current monitoring, and optionally string fault monitoring and PID recovery. Communication is via Wi-Fi as standard, and optionally via 4G. For string design, the maximum DC voltage at minimum temperature and the permissible MPPT input current are used. Inverters of this class are hung on a frame or wall next to the array to shorten the DC cable runs; for large models, free space is left for cooling. Monitoring is carried out through a Wi-Fi logger, optionally through 4G.
The list of standards depends on the model and covers EN/IEC 62109-1 and 62109-2, IEC 61727, IEC 62116, EN 50549-1, VDE-AR-N 4105, VDE 0126-1-1, CEI 0-21 and NC RfG. The final selection of models and the number of strings is best agreed with a manager.
