Description
KSTAR KnightH is designed for houses where the grid is unstable. The range covers models KnightH 3600-24, 3600-48 and 6000-48 with a power of 3.6 and 6 kW at 230 V. The inverter coordinates the work of the solar panels, the battery and the grid, and the source priority is configurable. In addition, it accepts a generator. The output is a pure sine wave, so household appliances, office equipment and lighting can be connected to it.
The KSTAR inverter supports batteries of 24 and 48 V. These are LiFePO4 of 25.6 or 51.2 V and lead-acid batteries. The battery channel is built as a DC-DC high-frequency isolated converter. The total charging current from the panels and from the grid reaches 120 A, and there are several charging modes, so the profile is chosen for the battery type.
The PV input is rated for Voc up to 500 V, the MPPT range is 120–450 V, and the panel power is 4–6.7 kW. The PV terminal block is built into the enclosure, which simplifies installation. Efficiency reaches 93.5%. The ingress protection rating is IP21, so the inverter is installed indoors. There are built-in temperature sensors, a dust alarm and a dust-protection kit.
The AC input range is 170–280 V for computers and 90–280 V for household appliances, and the default output voltage is 230 V. The mains frequency is 50 / 60 Hz ±5 Hz. The transfer time to battery is typically 10 ms and no more than 15 ms for computers, and for household appliances typically 20 ms and no more than 25 ms. The grid limits are selected as 184–264.5 V or 195.5–253 V. Up to six inverters are connected in parallel to increase power.
KnightH communicates over RS-232, USB and a dry contact, and optionally over RS-485, CAN and Wi-Fi. Monitoring is available from an app and over the web. The inverter is built to IEC 62109-1 and 62109-2, EN/IEC 62920:2017+A1:2021, EN 55011:2016+A2:2021, ISTA-2A, IEC 62116, IEC 61727, IEC 61683 and IEC 60068.
