Description
The common basis for all motors is water cooling of the frame jacket, a rotor with copper bars, an Ex db I Mb flameproof enclosure and degree of protection IP56 or IP67. The water jacket removes heat without an external fan, so the frame stays smooth and collects less coal dust. The motors are made to GB, IEC and EN and certified to IECEx, ATEX, CCC and MA. Standard installation altitude is up to 1000 m, and up to 3000 m above sea level on request.
Shearer motors drive the cutting heads, crushers, pumps and haulage mechanisms. Rating is 20–1250 kW, speed 750–1500 rpm, voltage 380–3300 V. They are supplied from a 50 Hz network or from a 5–100 Hz VFD, in flanged version B10 with rolling bearings. The manufacturer notes a compact design, space saving in the shearer body and a roomy terminal box for convenient cable installation.
Tunneling motors are fitted to roadheaders, bolter miners and bolting rigs. Their parameters are 36–540 kW, 750–1500 rpm, 380–3300 V, 50 Hz, version B10. These motors sit in the tightest places of the working, so a short frame and flange mounting without feet matter especially for them.
Conveyor motors work on face scraper conveyors, stage loaders, crushers, belt conveyors and pumps. They have a reduced shaft height at higher rating, high efficiency and low noise. Rating is 160–1600 kW at 1500 rpm, voltage 660–11 000 V, supply from a 50 Hz network or from a VFD, mounting IMB3, IMB35 or IMB10. VFD supply gives a soft start of a loaded scraper conveyor and balances the load between the head and tail drives.
The line covers both low mining voltages of 380–1140 V and medium voltages of 3.3–11 kV, to which powerful face complexes are moving. For Ukrainian mines this is an option to replace worn shearer and scraper conveyor motors when a water-cooled machine with an explosion-protection certificate for group I is needed. During selection the mounting flange, the voltage of the district network and the cooling water supply scheme are checked.
