Description
Drip-proof motors 1.KO(F) with IC01 cooling and degree of protection IP23 cover 200–9000 kW. Closed machines with an air-to-air cooler 1.KZ(F) (IC611) and KZ(F)N (IC511) have degree of protection IP54 and power 200–8000 kW. The series 1.KV(F) with an air-to-water cooler IC81W (IP54) again reaches 9000 kW. This range makes it possible to select a machine for both a clean pump room and a dusty shop. The IP54 degree of protection of the closed series suits rooms with dust and water splashes.
For all series the shaft height is 355–800, from 2 to 12 poles, frequency 50 or 60 Hz, insulation class F, and mounting arrangements IM B3 and IM V1. The motors are made to IEC 60034-1, and the mounting dimensions comply with IEC 60072, so a machine can be installed in place of another IEC machine of the same frame size. IM B3 means a horizontal foot-mounted machine, and IM V1 a vertical machine with the flange at the bottom.
The group includes special versions. Variable-frequency high-voltage motors for 3–6 kV have a power of 200–4000 kW and IC511, IC516, IC611, IC616 or IC666 cooling. Low-speed motors for 3–13.8 kV are made with a power of 200–8000 kW, shaft height 800–1600 and 4 to 12 poles. The variable-frequency version takes into account additional heating from harmonics and operation at reduced speed, which is why the independent-ventilation schemes IC516, IC616 and IC666 are provided.
Separately, the plant offers high-voltage motors for nuclear power plants. According to the manufacturer’s description, these are machines of 200–8000 kW for 3–13.8 kV with 2–26 poles and shaft height 355–1600. The qualification requirements for such equipment for a specific NPP are clarified for the project.
Fields of application cover the power industry, including auxiliaries of thermal and nuclear plants, metallurgy, and the mining, chemical and cement industries. When replacing an old motor, the shaft height, number of poles, cooling method and network voltage are checked, and for operation from a VFD the variable-frequency version is taken at once. For water utilities and heating networks the series are suitable to replace 6 kV pump motors.
