1.KZ(F) / KZ(F)N / 1.KV(F), high-voltage totally enclosed induction motor IP54, cooling IC 611/IC 511/IC 81W, 3–13.8 kV, 200–9000 kW

Description

In all three variants the internal air circulates in a closed loop and does not come into contact with the environment. The motors therefore have degree of protection IP54 and work in dusty, humid and aggressive rooms, as well as outdoors. The heat exchanger of 1.KZ(F) is mounted above the frame, KZ(F)N is cooled through a tubular heat exchanger, and 1.KV(F) gives its heat to water in the air cooler.

The voltage is from 3 to 13.8 kV, including 6 and 10 kV, and the frequency is 50 or 60 Hz. The air-cooled designs IC 611 and IC 511 have a power of 200–8000 kW, and the designs with the water cooler IC 81W have 200–9000 kW. Water cooling removes heat more effectively and is chosen for the most powerful machines or where heat release into the room is unacceptable. The shaft height is 355–800, the number of poles is from 2 to 12, the stator winding insulation is class F, and the mounting is IM B3 and IM V1. The general requirements correspond to IEC 60034-1, and the connection dimensions to IEC 60072.

Among its high-voltage products the manufacturer also lists motors for explosive atmospheres with cooling IC 511 and IC 611 on the same design basis. Performance tables and the type of explosion protection have not been published for them, and these data are clarified for a specific order.

Enclosed high-voltage motors drive critical machines such as feed, circulating and condensate pumps, forced-draft and induced-draft machines of power plants, compressors of the gas and chemical industries, pumps of trunk oil and water pipelines, mills, crushers and main mine ventilation fans. Among its customers the manufacturer names nuclear and thermal power plants, open-pit and underground mines, oil refineries and platforms. When replacing enclosed motors of older series, check the voltage, speed, shaft height and cooling system.
