Description

XMORE is the newest line of devices for protection in power generation, transmission and distribution. The platform also covers protection of feeders, motors, generators and capacitor banks. It addresses the segments of network companies, renewable generation, the oil and gas industry, transport and energy-intensive industry. The modularity of hardware and software makes it possible to build both basic and complex configurations on one platform and to add functions during operation.

The main function of XMR-T is transformer differential protection with restraint and a dual-slope characteristic (87T). It is complemented by low-impedance restricted earth fault protection (64REF), overexcitation protection (24), supervision of the negative-to-positive sequence current ratio (I2/I1), zero-sequence overcurrent protection (50N/51N) with several stages, overcurrent, undercurrent, overvoltage and undervoltage protections, frequency supervision and a transfer trip function. Overcurrent protection (50/51) is implemented separately for the high-voltage and low-voltage sides. The set of functions is adapted to the specific transformer by connectable hardware and software packs. Thermal protection via Pt100 sensors (function 26) is optional.

Measurement accuracy is supported by up to 12 analog inputs, fault recording at 32 samples per cycle and measurement for protections at 64 samples per cycle. Time is synchronized via PTP (IEC 1588) and SNTP, redundancy is provided by HSR, PRP and RSTP, and cybersecurity is built in. Protocols: IEC 61850 Ed.1/Ed.2, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus and DNP3 (serial and TCP). The HW PACK offers an optical Ethernet port for IEC 61850 and a local RJ45 port for configuration in ThyVisor software. A DNV certificate confirms compliance of the IEC 61850 Ed.2 server.

An order code table, a dimensional drawing with the cutout and a leaflet for XMR-T are published for the series. The terminal is installed on transformers of main step-down substations of industrial enterprises, at 110/20 kV and 20/0.4 kV substations, on step-up transformers of solar and wind plants and on auxiliary transformers of power plants.
