XCell is a modular data acquisition and control platform for HV/MV substations and distribution network automation. It integrates IEDs and works as an RTU, an IEC 61850 gateway, a DLMS meter gateway and a protocol converter, while SmartController adds a colour graphic display and a fault indicator.

Description
The platform is widely used in 400 kV substations. High availability is achieved by redundant power supplies, I/O processors and communication links to SCADA. Modules are selected for the signal count of a particular site, so XCell is installed in new substations and during refurbishment. SmartController works as a controller with a colour graphic display, a data concentrator and a fault indicator for distribution networks.
