VDF/VDJ/UJ/RUT trip circuit and supply supervision relays

VDF, VDJ, UJ and RUT relays continuously supervise the integrity of circuit breaker trip circuits and the auxiliary supply. A broken circuit or loss of supply is detected before a fault needs to be tripped.

Description

Trip circuit supervision is performed by the VDF-10 and VDJ-30 models. The UJ relay monitors the voltage level, and the RUT supervises the auxiliary supply. On a fault the relay sends a signal to the substation alarm system. Such supervision is installed in protection and breaker control cabinets.
