UP is a microprocessor-based remote terminal unit for transformer substations and MV switching stations. It interacts with fault indicators and motor drives of switching devices. It is built to the ENEL DX1215 ed.5 specification.

Description
The RTU has 8 or 16 RGDAT ports, the same number of motor-driven load-break switch ports, 4–20 mA analog inputs and digital inputs. The supply is 230/110 V AC, and the charger is built in. Communication with the control centre runs over the IEC 60870-5-101 protocol via PSTN, GSM or a dedicated line. The RGDAT ports receive signals from directional fault indicators, and through the drive ports the RTU controls the cubicle load-break switches.
