Description
TPU-1 belongs to the DIMAT teleprotection range and works with any available communication medium. An analog channel, a digital stream or optical fibre via SFP can be connected to the terminal, so one type of device suits different lines. The device exchanges commands with the line protection terminals at both ends and speeds up the clearing of a fault. Support for IEC 61850 Ed.2 simplifies integration into a digital substation. The requirements for teleprotection and electromagnetic compatibility correspond to IEC 60834-1, IEC TS 61000-6-5 and IEEE C37.90.1/.2.
