Description
SIPROTEC 5 is a platform of digital multifunction relays for protection, automation and control. All devices are configured with a single tool, DIGSI 5. For medium-voltage distribution networks, a group of universal relays and feeder protection relays is intended.
The 7SX82 relay is universal and performs protection, control and automation in medium-voltage networks. It protects and controls feeders, lines, motors and capacitor banks. A fleet of many device types increases purchasing, logistics and spare-part costs. The modular principle of the 7SX82 removes this problem, because the customer selects the hardware and adds functions as needed, paying only for those used. With the SIPROTEC Function Point Manager, functionality is extended within minutes, both before and after commissioning. Network companies switch protection functions, industrial users add motor protection or frequency protection, and power producers add generation functions. IoT connectivity gives quick access to device data.
SIPROTEC 7SX800 is a compact universal relay for feeders, lines and motors, intended for both beginners and experienced specialists. The 7SX85 is a modular universal relay with precisely selected functionality for any application. SIPROTEC 7SY82 has a patented input for low-power instrument transformers (LPIT) and combines all protection, automation and control functions of an MV bay in one device. It is used, among others, in NXAIR switchgear with LPIT. Sensors per IEC 61869 have accuracy class 0.5, and a single RJ45 connector between sensor and relay reduces installation errors. For revenue metering, conventional block transformers are optionally added to panels with sensors.
SIPROTEC 7SJ82 is an overcurrent protection relay for feeders, lines and capacitor banks in medium- and high-voltage networks. It optimizes tripping time through directional comparison and exchange of protection data, and detects earth faults in compensated and isolated networks, including intermittent ones (with automatic blocking of static measuring functions) and by the transient method. For capacitor banks, overcurrent, overload, current-unbalance, peak-overvoltage and differential protections are provided. Applications include 6–35 kV switchgear of distribution networks, industrial plants and power stations, and digital substations per IEC 61850.
