SAMU merging units, IEC 61850
SAMU merging units convert analog signals of conventional CTs and VTs into IEC 61850 digital streams for the process bus of a digital substation. The output is Sampled Values per IEC 61869-9 / IEC 61850-9-2LE.

Description
A 19-inch version is available for the substation building, and a compact version for the switchyard. Time synchronization is done via 1PPS or IEEE 1588. Network redundancy is supported through PRP and HSR. This allows existing instrument transformers to be connected to a digital substation without replacing them.
