PRO-N NA10–NA60 — overcurrent and directional protection relays for feeders
The PRO-N family consists of digital relays for protection and control in power generation and distribution. The NA series covers overcurrent protection relays for feeders and transformers, from NA016 to NA60, with a progressively expanding set of functions.

Description
NA016 is a relay per CEI 0-16 for radial HV, MV and LV networks. It protects incomers and power transformers and performs overcurrent and zero-sequence current protection (51, 50, 51N, 50N) for users who do not need directional protection and logic selectivity. It provides trip circuit supervision, a version with an independent release and a built-in data logger, and Modbus RTU communication via RS232. NA011 and NA11 protect lines and transformers in radial networks and offer auto-reclosing (79), breaker failure protection, CT supervision (74CT) and trip circuit supervision (74TCS), and programmable logic. Their inputs accept conventional CT or low-power LPCT, and the zero-sequence current is either measured directly (CT or cable transformer) or calculated. NA10 provides overcurrent and earth fault protection for general protection of MV users per CEI 0-16.
NA20 and NA21 additionally have a thermal model of the line and transformer, undercurrent protection for monitoring circuit breaker tripping, negative-sequence protection (46) against unbalanced short circuits and load unbalance, and I2/I1 ratio protection against phase loss at low load. NA21 also includes auto-reclosing. NA30 is designed for long feeders in networks with an isolated, compensated or high-resistance earthed neutral and for the LV side of transformers operating in parallel. It has a thermal model, overcurrent protection, zero-sequence voltage protection and directional earth fault protection. NA60 operates in radial and complex looped MV and LV networks on lines of any length in radial, ring and parallel schemes. It has directional phase overcurrent protection, directional earth fault protection and voltage protections, and its inputs are available for conventional CT/VT or combined ThySensor sensors.
Earth fault protection has a particular feature. In solidly earthed neutral networks non-directional protection works on lines of any length, while in networks with an isolated or compensated neutral it works only on lines of limited length, to exclude false operation caused by feeder capacitive current during external faults. Many models optionally offer function 26 (machine temperature via Pt100). The relays are configured in ThyVisor software via a USB-B port.
The PRO-N family has been produced since 2006, and an extended version appeared in 2013. The relays are installed in incoming and outgoing cubicles of 6–35 kV switchgear, used for general protection of consumers connected to the MV network, and applied in transformer substations of industrial enterprises.

NA10 provides overcurrent and earth fault protection for general protection of MV users per CEI 0-16. NA016 is built per CEI 0-16 for radial HV, MV and LV networks.
