Description
The PCS-9882 switches come in AD, GD, SD, PD and XD versions. The electrical ports run at 10/100 and 10/100/1000 Mbit/s with MDI/MDIX auto-detection, and the SFP optical ports 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-SX are hot-swappable. Switching is non-blocking, store-and-forward. The compact PCS-9882Rx units mount on a DIN rail for traction substations, distribution networks and renewable energy plants. The PCS-9884 is built as a modular 4U 9.5″ switch for harsh environments and supports seamless HSR and PRP redundancy.
The software covers broadcast storm suppression, port rate limiting, mirroring, link aggregation, IEEE 802.1p priorities, VLANs by port, by MAC and IP address and by protocol, QinQ, GMRP multicast registration and IGMP snooping. Delay compensation is provided for GOOSE and SV messages. Ring networks are built on STP/RSTP/MSTP, MRP or the proprietary NR-Ring with accelerated recovery. Management is done through Web, Telnet, CLI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 and RMON, and the switch status is available over IEC 61850 MMS. Network security is based on IEEE 802.1X with RADIUS, SSH/SSL, ACL and DoS attack filtering.
The PCS-9785 satellite clock receives GPS and BeiDou signals with compensation for the delay in the antenna path and provides a common time reference for protection terminals, recorders and other IEDs. The drift is less than 1 μs per hour. PPS, PPM, PPH, IRIG-B, serial time messages, SNTP/NTP and IEEE 1588 outputs are delivered through RS-485, RS-232, TTL, dry contacts, optical and RJ45 interfaces. The master clock works from its own antenna, while the slave clock receives IRIG-B from another source. Two units form a dual-source, dual-network scheme, a redundant power supply is possible, and PRP and HSR are supported. Self-diagnostic logs, logs of binary signal changes and service records are stored in internal memory, and the display shows the current time, satellite status and synchronization source.
The MUX-2M/64 interface links line distance and differential protection terminals and emergency control devices with digital SDH multiplexers (2 Mbit/s) and PCM multiplexers (64 kbit/s) per ITU-T G.703.
