Description
The line of mobile modems and routers includes MSG-001, MSG-3xx and MSG-4x1. MSG-6xx establishes connections in GSM 2G/3G networks for devices that do not support GPRS/UMTS themselves and can work as a data concentrator, and it is replaced by MSG-701_v2, an LTE modem with router functions. The MSG-705-xx and MSG-750 routers complete the range, and MSG-705 also works as a serial port server. These devices are often installed in telecontrol of RES facilities and at overhead line sectionalizing points.
The RMP-104, RMP-105A, RMPL-101 and RML-201 radio modems work in open and dedicated radio channels where there is no mobile coverage or where a private radio network is needed. The programmable transmission multiplexers STC-221 and STC-311 serve many slave devices through one or two higher-level channels, main and backup, in standard and extended modes. The MKT-130 multiplexer and the UPT-004 and ZDC-100 signal splitters combine and distribute channels at substations.
The converters and separators CRS, EVRS-001, FLN, FRS-485, FRS-485A, GRS, LTH-101, LVDS-RS, MST-405 and RS-ETH match the standard and type of transmission to the interfaces of connected devices and provide galvanic isolation. The pairs RS-232 and RS-485, RS-232 or RS-485 and optical fibre, and RS-232 or RS-485 and a 20 mA current loop are supported. There are 4-channel V-24 signal separators, an SPA to LonTalk protocol converter, and converters for EVO and KAMSTRUP MULTICAL meters. These devices are used to build optical ring networks, RS-485 networks and redundant structures.
LTH-101 connects devices with an RS-485 port to an Ethernet network and is aimed at remote meter reading in AMR systems, where it works as a gateway. The 120 x 80 x 41 mm enclosure is mounted on the meter terminal cover, with a 110÷230V AC/DC supply at a consumption of 20 mA at 230 V AC. The serial port works at speeds of 1 200÷230 400 bps, the operating temperature is from -20°C to 55°C, and humidity is from 5% to 95% without condensation. Through it SYNDIS ENERGIA communicates directly with the meter. The BPL system for broadband transmission over power lines is intended for Smart Communication tasks in distribution networks.
Brochures are published for MSG-701_v2, LTH-101, RS-ETH, converters and separators, STC-xxx, multiplexers and data transmission devices, and RML-201. Typical tasks cover telecontrol channels of substations, distribution points, MV secondary substations and RES facilities, integration of devices with serial interfaces into IP networks, and communication redundancy.

Questions and answers
What replaces the MSG-6xx modem?
MSG-6xx is replaced by MSG-701_v2, an LTE modem with router functions. MSG-6xx worked in GSM 2G/3G networks for devices without their own GPRS/UMTS support.
Which interfaces do the converters convert?
The converters work with the pairs RS-232 and RS-485, RS-232 or RS-485 and optical fibre, and with a 20 mA current loop. They provide galvanic isolation of the signals.
Under what conditions does the LTH-101 converter operate?
The operating temperature is from -20°C to 55°C, and humidity is from 5% to 95% without condensation. The supply is 110÷230V AC/DC, and the enclosure is 120 x 80 x 41 mm.
