Description
MICREX-VieW XX is a distributed monitoring and control system for small and medium-sized facilities. It is used to control process plants, electric drives and electrical equipment, including at power plants, metallurgical and chemical enterprises and in the water sector. The system scales from a compact single configuration to a fully redundant one, and the range includes a universal station combining operator and database functions.
The XCS-3000 control station performs both electrical equipment control and measurement and regulation functions in one controller. The operator station is designated XOS-3000. The XDS-3000 database station stores trends, alarms and the history of operator actions, and the engineering station is called XES-3000. The E-SX I/O remote input/output runs on a 100 Mbit/s bus, and an IPU-II module with redundancy is also available. The backbone control network complies with FL-net Ver.3, and the information network runs on Ethernet.
The XCS-3000 Type E controller is intended for high-speed control, for example of motors on metallurgical lines. The SX-Net network at 1 Gbit/s in a ring configuration keeps working if the ring is broken at a single point. The network length reaches 16 km (up to 3.2 km in a star), up to 126 devices can be connected, and according to the specification a ring allows 42 stations. Data is refreshed in packets within 0.5 ms, and multi-axis synchronization of the I/O of different controllers is provided. The source also states a scan cycle from 0.5 to 30 ms, synchronization between stations of ±1 µs and a clock range of 0.25–10 ms.
Program memory is 512 K steps, data memory is 2368 K words, and I/O is up to 65,536 points. Programming follows IEC 61131-3 (IL, ST, LD, FBD, SFC), with an instruction execution time of 0.006 µs.
A separate feature is continuity. The system connects to the manufacturer's previous networks (DPCS-F, PE-link, T-link) through network adapters and reuses the existing cabinets and application software, so modernization is carried out in stages and in a short time. The stated advantages are high clarity of presentation, integration with Windows programs, fast diagnostics, open interfaces and information protection. The system is complemented by the MICREX-NX DCS, the MICREX-VieW FOCUS system and the f(s)NISDAS data collection and analysis system.
