iGW, iGWlite — substation communication gateways and data concentrators
The iGW and iGWlite communication gateways collect data from meters, protection relays and other IEDs and transmit it to control centers and SCADA stations. They support IEC 60870-5, IEC 61850 (MMS and GOOSE), DNP3, DLMS and Modbus, with NTP or PTP synchronization. iGWlite has 1 Ethernet and 1 RS485/RS422.

Description
iGW and iGWlite are communication gateways for collecting and processing data from meters, protection relays and other intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) at energy facilities. The iGW gateway supports a large set of data acquisition protocols: IEC 60870-5, IEC 61850 (MMS and GOOSE), DNP3, DLMS, Modbus and Procome. Microsecond time stamp accuracy is provided by NTP or PTP synchronization.
The gateway collects data, processes it and transmits it to one or several control centers or leading SCADA stations over the upper-level protocols IEC 104, IEC 101, TASE.2/ICCP (IEC 60870-6), IEC 61850-90-2, DNP3 and Modbus RTU/TCP. The architecture with iGW is open, efficient and scalable. It readily accepts new generations of devices (IEDs, sensors, routers) and adapts to changes in the distribution network.
The functions of iGW include full real-time monitoring of substation equipment, full integration of IEC 61850 GOOSE and MMS, a built-in PLC per IEC 61131-3, and generation of alarms and events. Configuration and access to current data are possible remotely and via the web. Local data memory is expanded with an SD card. The gateway collects and converts DLMS meter data and simultaneously accepts different types of electrical data from different meters.
iGWlite is a compact, smart and easy-to-use protocol conversion gateway for electrical installations, rugged and modular. It supports meter data concentration and protocol conversion (DNP3.0, IEC 61850 MMS and GOOSE, DLMS, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-101/102/103/104 and others). The conversion and automation capabilities, including IEC 61850, are the same as in iGW, but with fewer ports. These are 1 Ethernet, 1 RS485/RS422 and an optional RS232 (copper or optical) or a 2G/3G/4G modem.
iGWlite is especially useful for commissioning, automation and upgrading of power plants, substations and other control networks where data concentration or protocol conversion is needed, for example Modbus to Ethernet or IEC 61850 to DNP3. It is used at substations of distribution and transmission networks, at renewable energy facilities and in industrial power systems, to integrate existing relays and meters into SCADA.
