IDF / IDV / IDX transformer differential protection terminal
IDF, IDV and IDX protect, control and measure a power transformer bay of any voltage class, including phase-shifting transformers. The terminal has up to 4 three-phase groups of current inputs, differential protection with restraint, harmonic blocking and an unrestrained differential element, and supports IEC 61850 Ed.2.

Description
The protected object can be two- and three-winding transformers, autotransformers, reactors, SVC, generators and motors. The four groups of current inputs are connected in one-and-a-half breaker and ring schemes, where the transformer is fed through several breakers. Restraint and harmonic blocking make the protection immune to magnetising inrush currents, and the unrestrained differential element quickly trips large internal faults. In addition there are restricted earth fault protection REF and overexcitation protection. The relay is modular and has an IEC 61850 certificate for editions 1 and 2.
