Description
GR-200 is a platform of microprocessor terminals (IED) that combines proven protection algorithms with digital substation technology. The series covers GRZ200 line distance protection, GRL200 line differential protection, GRT200 transformer protection, GRB200 busbar protection and GRD200 multifunction protection. It also includes the GBU200 bay control unit and GRH200 high-impedance differential protection. Configuration and monitoring are done in GR-TIEMS software.
GR-200 Compact is built on the same platform for applications from medium voltage to HV and EHV networks. It includes the GRE200 multifunction terminal and GRW200 line differential protection, working over a direct optical channel or pilot wires. The terminals have a full set of protection and control functions, support several communication protocols and take up little space in the cabinet.
The GRE series contains compact multifunction relays for MV networks. GRE110 performs overcurrent and earth fault protection, GRE120 protects motors, and GRE130 implements voltage and frequency protection. GRE140 handles directional overcurrent protection, GRE160 transformer protection and GRE170 protection of electrical machines. Settings are made in RSM100 software.
The company has supplied digital control systems for HV and EHV substations for more than 30 years, and the current system is called GSC1000. A digital substation converts measurements and binary signals to digital form at station and bay level, and data exchange is built on IEC 61850. The GKAD1 trip circuit supervision relay signals a fault in the circuit or the breaker drive.
The previous GR-100 series is being discontinued and is replaced by GR-200 terminals, so a phased replacement can be planned at existing sites. The equipment is used at substations of 6–500 kV, on transmission lines, at power plants and in industrial networks.
