Description
The manufacturer produces digital protection and measuring devices for medium- and low-voltage switchgear. These are protection relays of the GIPAM series and multifunction network analyzers of the GIMAC series. The GIPAM relay is part of the standard optional equipment of the manufacturer's metal-clad switchgear as a means of protection and monitoring.
GIPAM-10 is a digital protection relay for medium-voltage feeders, according to the brochure including MV motors. It has 11 protection functions and records waveforms (32 samples × 30 cycles × 4 channels). Conformity is confirmed to KEMC1120 and IEC 60255. The digital motor protection relays have RS-485 Modbus communication, a 4–20 mA analogue output and a choice of inverse-time or definite-time characteristics.
GIMAC-V is a power analyzer with a current and voltage measurement accuracy of 0.2 %. The accuracy class for power and energy is 0.5 to IEC 62053-21/22, with harmonic analysis from the 2nd to the 63rd, input voltage range 10–452 V AC, frequency 40–70 Hz and an event log of 512 events. GIMAC-IV has an accuracy of ±0.3–0.5 %, harmonic analysis 2–15 and Modbus / RS-485 communication.
The programme also includes single-phase electronic meters 1P2W 220 V (40(10), 80(20), 120(30) A, class 1.0), the peak demand controller WDC-3000 and automated meter reading systems (AMRS).
Within switchgear the devices provide protection of incomers, feeders, transformers and motors, measurement and metering, fault recording and data transfer to supervisory control systems. They integrate with Smart Cabinet Panel (SCP) cabinets, which combine power quality control, metering, electrical safety and breaker monitoring. They are used in 6–35 kV switchgear and on main LV switchboards of industrial plants, power stations and infrastructure.
