Description
Protection and control panels of this type are mounted both on the support structures of a medium-voltage section and on the high-voltage line of a primary substation consumer. They work in medium-voltage nodes and at primary substations with a solidly earthed neutral or a neutral earthed through a very low-resistance resistor, in the countries where ENEL is present.
In addition to protection functions, DMC900A3S0 performs supervision and control: CT supervision (74CT), VT supervision (74VT), trip circuit supervision (74TCS), synchronism check (25), under-frequency load shedding per the EAC load balance automation scheme, programmable logic (PLC) and auto-reclosing (79). The protection functions include calculated zero-sequence overcurrent protection (50N/51N), positive-sequence undervoltage protection (27CC), negative-sequence current protection and others. Zero-sequence overcurrent protection is implemented in two ways, on the measured and on the calculated current (50N/51N). The specification also lists zero-sequence overcurrent protection (50N/51N) and phase overcurrent protection (50/51) separately for the high-voltage and low-voltage sides.
Configuration, programming and reading of measurements and records are performed from a PC in ThyVisor software or over the Ethernet bus. All these operations are also available from the front keypad (MMI). Record data is read from a PC, while operating personnel work with the MMI on the front panel. There is an optical Ethernet port for IEC 61850 and a local RJ45 port for communication with ThyVisor software. Up to two RIO DMRIS0 remote input/output modules can be connected to the panel.
The system complies with the ENEL standards DMI 900016 and GSTP101 and with cybersecurity requirements. The cybersecurity requirements are part of the standards the system complies with. For existing ENEL panels, a retrofit kit is offered to bring them into line with the latest ENEL specifications. The panel meets ENEL requirements both in the set of functions and in cybersecurity, so it can be installed alongside existing equipment. The panels are installed at HV/MV primary substations of distribution network companies, in incoming cubicles and MV busbar sections, and on consumers' HV lines.
