Description
When more solar and wind plants are connected to an MV or HV line than it can accept at peak hours, the network operator has to either reinforce the network or curtail generation. Altair monitors the loading of network elements and issues export curtailment commands only when this is really necessary. In this way a renewable park can be connected to the existing network and export more energy than under a fixed limit. The manufacturer describes Altair as a family of robust, high-reliability controllers for DER management.
