SEL-734B / SEL-734W — capacitor bank controllers for distribution networks
SEL-734B and SEL-734W control capacitor banks and sectionalizers on MV overhead lines and transmit data to SCADA. Control algorithms work by time, temperature, current and reactive power, and the controllers are mounted in outdoor cabinets.

Description
The SEL-734W, together with the LINAM WCS wireless current sensor, enables a transition from time-based bank control to control by current and reactive power. The wireless sensor removes the need to run secondary current circuits to the controller cabinet. Analog inputs are designed for LEA sensors. The controller switches the bank on and off under set conditions and reports its status to the dispatcher.
