ZT — earthing transformers and auxiliary transformers
ZT transformers create an artificial neutral and supply the auxiliary loads of substations. Example version ZT 500 kVA 34/0.4 kV. They were supplied in large numbers for offshore wind farm platforms.

Description
The transformer combines grounding of the network neutral with the supply of the substation auxiliary loads. The HV side forms an artificial neutral in a network where there is none, and the LV winding feeds the auxiliary loads. They are used at substations, including offshore wind farm substations. The ZT 500 kVA 34/0.4 kV version is designed for a 34 kV network and supplies 0.4 kV consumers.
